2 new assets IMX and ENS

One of the most common requests the Bitvavo crew get from users is to add additional assets to the Bitvavo platform, thus they continue to put a lot of effort into doing so. In fact, they introduced well over 100 assets to our platform in the last year alone, giving there members a wide range of trading and investment choices.

The team is constantly seeking for fresh and intriguing assets to offer to our platform, as we promised after the previous asset listings in April. We’re happy to announce that Bitvavo will now start receiving additional assets.

What is IMX coin?

As the first layer-two scaling option for NFTs on Ethereum, Immutable X places itself in this space. Immutable X claims that its blockchain overcomes Ethereum’s drawbacks, including its low scalability, subpar user experience, lack of liquidity, and delayed development experience. Instead, users get to experience $0 gas costs for minting and trading NFTs, instant trading, and vast scalability without compromising asset or user security. Immutable X uses STARK zk-rollups, a technology that Vitalik Buterin believes Ethereum is “all-in” on, to do that.

Users will be able to produce and distribute assets like ERC-20 and ERC-721 tokens on a vast scale as a result of this technology. Immutable X enables Gods Unchained to deploy a novel meta-system that was previously impractical, according to Chris Clay, the game director of the project that is currently based on it. In this way, Immutable X hopes to give users and developers alike a first-rate experience.

What is ENS crypto?

Based on the Ethereum blockchain, the Ethereum Name Service (ENS) is a distributed, open, and extendable naming system. ENS transforms machine-readable alphanumeric codes that you are familiar with from wallets like Metamask into human-readable Ethereum addresses like john.eth. It is also feasible to perform the opposite conversion, linking machine-readable addresses and information to human-readable Ethereum addresses.

Similar to how the Internet’s Domain Name Service makes the internet more accessible, the purpose of Ethereum Name Service is to make the Ethereum-based online simpler for humans to access and understand. Similar to DNS, ENS also has a system of domains—dot-separated hierarchical names—with domain owners having complete control over their subdomains.

In November 2021, ENS began with a very popular retroactive airdrop that gave rewards to anyone who had registered their addresses before the project launched its coin. However, it came under fire in February 2022 for allegedly homophobic tweets sent by its director of operations.
